I got a negative from a fellow who says, "doesn't answer my email, won't ship package". I was stunned as I immediately sent winning notification on 1-22-03 and waited and waite to hear from him. I take the resposibility that I should have sent him in for non bidder's but decided to wait and when I discovered the Negative, wrote him immediately and told him that I have been way beyond fair, and that with 1 feedback as he has already a neutral from a seller who says he won't respond to email, he told me that "I see that my negative worked-I heard from you". I have contacted SquareTrade, see if I am paying them for nothing. In the meantime, am I obligated to complete this as he telephones my twice and said he sent 12 emails, and that I need to ship immediately. I said the until I hear from those folks, I feel that my hands are tied and don't send me a check! He responds very briefy-Check 1402 is on it's way. Sorry for the lenghty post-what shall I do with this guy and no I had never heard from him no 12 or even 1 email, any help deeply appreciate.

Send his check back and tell him to have a wonderful day. You now have zero incentive to work with him considering how early he pulled the feedback trigger and considering his actions in total there is no way in hell I would take a personal check from this joker.

So you never got his e-mail after the auction and he never got yours? Sounds like something is fishy since he now has all of the information he needs to send you the check that he should have sent in January.

After all this time I would refuse his check, file the NPB and then FVF. What's he going to do? Neg you??? This way he gets a neg for non-communication and non-payment and a NBP warning. You only have his word that he actually sent the e-mails. If he was really concerned he could have e-mailed you through eBay or gotten your contact information.

Send him one final e-mail saying that too much time has passed and the transaction is void. Then immediately filter (block)his e-mail and add him to your blocked bidder list. Put a time limit for payments in your auction terms and stick to it!

And forget Square Trade. It's not worth the $$$.

Thank you folks so very much, as I didn't want to get into trouble with ebay, as I cannot reason with this fellow. I know there is something weird about the email as how did he know that I pay my server to check for viruses and filer out spam. He said that "maybe you remail filter kicked my email back" and if he has a virus it is possible althouth I go thru the email that is held by the server before deleting them and never saw anfrom him email from him, as I would have caught it. Thank you so much again I really appreciate it folks. See how I edited 3 times, am quite upset with him and we seller's really don't have much protection from this sort of thing.

dotteeb...Take a deep breath. You were bound to meet up with a whacko sooner or later. We don't call an undeserved neg a "red badge of courage" for nothing. It will take a while to get over it but pretty soon this will be a dim memory.

Dotteeb: Neg him. Once you have done that, notify my cat he will handle it from there.

Once the check arrives, tear it up. I wouldn't waste $0.34 mailing it back to him. And I wouldn't tell him the check was torn up, let it mess up his accounting records & maybe he will place a stop payment on it & cost him $25.00

FIRST OF ALL, I WOULD BE SURPRISED IF A CHECK WAS ON THE WAY....

THIS IS WHY I HAVE A SET TIME LIMIT IN MY TOS AND FOLLOW THROUGH ON IT, THEY GET AN NPB AND ALL THAT FOLLOWS...

AIN'T LIFE GRAND...

Yes, check is on the way is a ploy to stop NPB - I would immediately neg claiming non payment, and start the process to file a FVF - You need to do this so he eventually gets kicked off ebay. If you get the check, rip it up, and don't send it back or contact this person. You owe him NOTHING

I wouldn't neg him just yet, wait until you have feedback from him. Let him do the first neg.

sanmar - read the topic of this thread - The buyer has already left a neg, there is no need to avoid it because it already happened.
