he didnt! This newbie (well I question that, he knew how to do checkout) buys a fixed price auction from me last week. He does a checkout, and in it said "Hi, I jt paid you with credit card, send it to my post boxe addresse please" (thats his spelling!!) I told him I do not accept billpoint as stated in my auction, nor paypal, what credit card payment? I never recived any notice or email. I told him I didnt get any kind of payment froma CC service, I only accept money order/personal check.
A week later (this morning) he emails saying "where my stuff? My credit card was charged! If you dont send, will file police report"> I said, uh, OK, then 2 hours later he files Square Trade on me saying I stole him stuff, and threatens to report me to ebays! Now what, do I ignore him? (full moon is out this week, I swear!!!)

Instruct him to send verifible proof of this charge including:
1) Venue thru which it was made
2) Transaction number and issuing bank of card used.
Tell him that if he is unable to provide these items and continues on his current course of action that you too will contact his local police department as well as his ISP with charges of Internet Harrassment and Fraud.
Why bother with ebay when you can just knock him of the internet entirely

If it is a high ticket item I would pull his contact information and call him on the phone. Meet him face to face. If he paid you he must have a receipt. Don't destroy any of his emails as you might need them later. Good Luck

As others have stated, just save the emails in case you need them. This sounds like someone who does not have both oars in the water or is a simple scam artist.
Lay it on the line that if you do not get payment as stated per your tos that you will file for your fees. I would not accept a check from this "winner" in any case. Postal m.o. only! Best to put this bidder on your email and bidding block as soon as you can. Another problem child!
