Anyone remember Meg's plan to offer a group Medical Insurance Plan to Powersellers from last summer (2002)? Just curious if anyone here has taken them up on the plan and any comments...positive or negative on how it works, or if it's of any benefit. Odd how it was so highly "trumpeted" in the press last July, and kinda quiet....hmmmm.. (?????) Comments anyone?

The medical plan started in January. It is real, and available to Powersellers.

It's also completely worthless, and no better than you could come up with on your own.

Call a local broker who specializes in the self-employed. You'll come out ahead.

I am far better of with Medicare & CA Blue Cross Supplemental than on eBays plan.

Another resounding DUD! Should die a quiet death like Auctions for America's 10 kabillions donated to nobody

All of the plans are of the "CloseCoverBeforeStriking" variety!

These companies are usually touted on mens-room condom dispensers; 3:00AM infomercials; and SPAM in my inbox 200kabillionjillion times/day!

If General Motors, Ford, and General Electric have problems maintaining their health plans, why would anyone think eBay could offer sellers a cost effective health plan ?

I am surprised that the press is silent considering the free press eBay received when they unveiled the plan to offer insurance.

I think the fact that there's been so little response to this post (also) that this is an issue ALOT of eBayers either don't know about, or forgot that eBay so highly touted it (as did the press) last July. Obviously "duds" aren't big news (and certainly eBay doesn't want to promote that), but it's such a major let down after they made it sound like they were offering something so "great" to the Powersellers...and to find out now...after all this time...this is what they came up with....btw....I know there's a lot of folks here who think Powersellers get special treatment from eBay...I think the "medical plan" is a good example of just exactly the kinds of "perks" you get....lol.

I've turned down PowerSeller membership every time it was offered. I couldn't find anything about the program that was worth bothering with.
