I left someone a Negative feedback, and he
didn't like it. He became abusive, so I
blocked his account and blacklisted him from
my auctions. Today I received a photocopy of
a handwritten letter from him in the mail
with more threats. Any advice? He has
stated that he will "comment on my auctions"
in an effort to prevent people from buying
(whatever that means) and he asked me if I
"Wanna take a ride?" and said "I will make
it rough on you. Thats a promise!" Then it
gets abusive, like the e-mail (lots of
cursing). Any help on who I can contact at
eBay regarding this would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Your bidder is kind of dumb to follow up threats with actual mail that can be used as evidence.
I think most of these threats are just hot air. Do we ever hear about sellers being physically harmed by their bidders or snuffed out in the dead of night?
It's best to report it though because you just never know.

What has S.T. to do with this??? There is nothing they can do about some whack job.
Report this idiot to ebay, email their isp under the heading "abuse". They may just kick this loser off their service. I would also contact the local police dept.and FBI as this is internet plus mail threats.
Whatever you do, do not respond to this jerk.
Keep all emails etc.. as you will need to forward them to their ISP with full headers.

Thank you. However, the link to eBay's
site contains no contact address (although
it says on the page to contact them, aren't
they helpful)...
And actually, then I looked at it more
closely, the page is a photocopy, but the
handwriting was written on the photocopy.

Zathras - what you recieved is today considered a terrorist threat (you don't have to have a bomb anymore). A teen from the east coast received six months in jail in San Diego for making similar threats online. Contact your local police as well as the police in his area. Definatly contact his ISP and ebay.

If you recieved ANYTHING threatening that came through the mail, contact the post office TODAY. They will be all over this like flies on stink. Postal inspectors take this stuff very seriously. Forget the local cops. You may also want to contact the FBI. This could be a Federal offense.
Don't delay and don't be afraid that the authorities will brush you off. CALL TODAY.

Because it is a photocopy it is possible that he is sending out threats to other sellers also and maybe they have reported him to ebay too.

Come on folks. Let's hear a little more about the "threats". I just hear an angry customer with a big mouth from what has been stated thus far. I think the poster should be more specific and put in a bit more detail so we can make a better determination. "Im going to report you to the attorney general" kind of threat or is it a "Your first born child will get warts" kind of a threat"?
Cursing? What kind of cursing? "You're a --- seller? You're a ---- ---- con artist? Or is this the devil himself writing emails? What was the reason for the Neg? And what did you say?
If this guy appears to be a threat to the seller, then of course he is. According to law, if a person "perceives" another to be a threat it is sufficient to allow a restraining order. (Now there"s a protective method that will shut him down)

If you haven't already done this, save the envelope.
I doubt this adds up to "terrorism," but I'm sure eBay's legal department would like to have a look at it. A quick ride on Google should give you the address you need.

Ahhhhhhh, also ,did he reply to your negative? I so,Now you do the follow up! hahaha. I am sure you have no problem knowing exactly what to say as short as you can there. How do you say, Postal inspector, FBI, Local Police annnnnnnd perhaps his local paper!!!! You can alway record his letter at the county Court House also. Even I don't Know if that one makes sense, but now it's Public Record!

The envelope only lists my address, has a
stamp and a cancel postmark from his city
(he didn't put his name or any address on it).
He received another Negative after mine.
I contacted that seller and sure enough
she also has received threats via e-mail
and a letter. I encouraged her to contact
eBay and his ISP to report it and she has
agreed to do so.
I'm less than worried about him, for
reasons I won't go into. This is not the
first time I've received on-line threats,
and I'm sure it won't be the last.
Thank you all for your comments and help.

::I doubt this adds up to "terrorism,""
MsI - you would be surprised. The terosist threat charge has been around since prior to 9/11 when it gained an entirely different definition in the public eye. I remember a few years ago a WCW member was charged with terroristic threats after threatening a city street worker in Geogia and pushing him out of his way with his truck. He plead guilty but I don't remember how much time he served.

Is this your Ebay ID? If it is, I looked up your info and didn't see any negative feedback left for anyone. I was curious to see who the person is that is threatening you.
