I recieved a email from Ebay stating I was suspended because of a link to my son's account. My son is or was a new user. I have been a long time user. I can't understand what his actions have to do with mine. He is a grown adult. I know that he does owe a bill so I can understand them suspending him for non payment. If that is what he was suspended for. Anyhow I have written Ebay numerous times trying to find out why my account was suspended for and I get no answer. Does anyone know a phone number where I can reach them at?

I recieved a email from Ebay stating I was suspended because of a link to my son's account.

This is why you got the suspension as ebay considers the two accounts to be the same. Best to get your son to pay his bill to ebay.

My advice to you is to make sure you never use the same email addy or the same CC as your son. As far as phone numbers go, maybe someone else knows.Might help to email ebays billing department as they are the ones who can help you out.

Best to make sure that one account has nothing to do with another to avoid this problem in the future.

You will never get off suspension until the bill is paid. EBay is treating as one account with two people having user ID's

Yep same provider , same IP address and the same person as far as e-bay is concerned. That bill will have to be paid and any activity your son does on e-bay will also reflect on your account in their eyes. ie... he does something bad and gets a permanent suspension odds are your gone to. Good luck

I was suspended also.Except my suspension is for total BS!A bidder claimed that I never sent the item so he reported me to Ebay and got some of his money back.Ebay never even contacted me for mediation and I sold the item to this guy 5 months before. They just surprised me with this out of nowhere 2 weeks ago.Now that I cant sell on Ebay the thousands of dollars of stocks I ordered to sell on Ebay are going to bounce my account and theres nothing I can do about it becouse I cant make the money in time to cover the charges.

I have a website but I am still waiting for the search engines to list my url.I have also been desperatley listing my auctions at Yahoo! and useing Google Ad Words but that hasnt been working out to well.

Ebay says that I half to pay them $100.00
to be considered for reinstatement. But being considered doesnt mean that they will reinstate me.Does anyone know how they determine if they reinstate you ore not?

2 adults sharing pc and service provider and selling on ebay.
you are going to find it difficult to convince ebay there are actually 2 persons behind the pc.

Husbands & Wives do this all the time with their own activities under separate IDs.

In our family we have 3 sales Ids between us all from the same ISP, heck, all on the same CC for paying the bills....

As long as all the accounts are current and in order, no problems.

katiyana,
you can have the whole population of china or india on one pc and isp and cc as long as they dont get into trouble with ebay.
but this is not the case here, tell this adult son to get his own pc .

That is the point everyone is trying to make katiyana, Its all fine unless ONE person of the multiple accounts has problems then ALL the accounts are treated as that problem.

Does your provider has several phone numbers you can dial yo connect to them? If you dial in one number, and your son another number, wouldnt that count as two different ISP?

.....Get the son his own computer?...Yeah right...If he's a grown adult, tell him to get his own place, AND a computer, then you don't have to worry about his bills...The kid is an adult and you still have to babysit him, what a pity...

The only way you will get unsuspended is if the bill is paid. In the future, if your son is not going to pay bills, you should consider not sharing your computer. Otherwise, this will happen again.

Someone just won an auction from me that had been suspended a couple of years ago. She just got a new user name, I think, and reregistered probably with a different ISP and email address. Be sure you have a different credit card also. Do you still have to give a CC if you pay eBay by Check?
