Can anyone answer me 2 questions? How can I get clearer auction pictures? They are fine until I view them in the auction sites. I use AW to load and store them. Does that make any difference? Has something changed? What can I do to rectify the problem? Second, is it me or did the fonts in the auction listing get larger? It seems to me the auction fonts look weird. I don't remember my auction fonts looking so large a month ago. Has anything changed recently? Is it my settings? What can I do to correct this? Or is it normal to see the fonts this way now due to recent changes in the ebay or AW system? Thanks for your help.

Can you proved a link or item number to one of your auctions to have a look at?

Are you on AOL? If so, you need to go into preferences and in WWW web graphics you need to uncheck the compressed images box.

I was always having the same problem with my pictures and ended up getting a new Dell computer.

Now my pictures are crystal clear and the colors turn out true all the time !

Probably was in my settings because my old computer was only 2 years old but hey, now I am very happy and can do in a snap

NOT gina50 on ebay

Forgot to add.. Be sure to clean out your cache after you uncheck the compressed option. This is actually one of the most common questions on the image hosting forum. About once a week an AOL user complains that AuctionWatch is screwing up their images after they upload them. The fact is that AOL has this option set on compress as a default when you install their software. You have to manually click it off. I've fallen into that hole more than once myself

Neglus: Yes, THAT is the same as your "cache!"

BTW: if you are on broadband (cable;dsl;etc), you should clean it out q daily to keep up speed

BTW: your pc's are WUNDERFUL!

Please!
I have had a Sony Mavica for over a year and I have so much trouble getting my photos bright enough. I have tried with every setting and every part of the house and out doors. If I am photographing something like jewelry, it just don't happen. Anything else, like clothing I can adjust with my phtot program. Granted my monitor is bad but that wouldn't make the pictures look dark and dull to someone else.
Any suggestions?

Sparkz, thanks for your help. Graphics problem resolved.
Still would like to know if the fonts looking so large is normal. Has there been a design change in the type/style of fonts used to post auctions or is there a setting to change that too? I don't recall them looking so weird, so outstanding except for what I intentionally posted in my auction sites using html tags. Other than what tags I used, the rest of the letters used to looked smaller or normal. Can anyone provide me with help on this?
Thanks.

When I go to AOL preferences there is a line that says "Present resizing options when inserting pictures in e-mail" That is checked - is that the line you say should be unchecked? Also below that line it has a line "JPEG compression quality and 100 in the box. Should I change that? I really need to get better picture quality also and am always glad to get some hints.

Mommoo...Go to preferences. Click the www folder. At the top of the page, click the web graphics tab. There is a line that says "use compressed graphics" and by default the box will be checked. Uncheck that box. Cleare your cache and your images will clear up.
