I don't know what they are officially called...
but they're used to squeeze lemon wedges. It's nice that you have a set, because they are supposed to be placed at each diners table setting when sea food is being served. Mmmmmmm........

I have a bunch of squeezers from antique ones (great grandmas etc) to new ones from different parts of the world. If I am right, these are too short for any type of sqeezer other than for garlic. Usually squeezers or presses have little holes or slit like openings to let the contents go through. There aren't too many holes HUMMM I could be wrong but are those more like clips than a pressing aparatus? Take a look and see if they could be clips like to hold back curtains or something like that.

I actually was wondering if they could be place-card holders, but I don't see how that would work well. . . . I still say they're lemon squeezers, until proven wrong -- which has happened before, in my lifetime!

squeezers are usually made of a thick unbendable metal or heavy think plastic. To me, these look like they would bend if you tried to squeeze something
