Should be able to use just about any brand name printer. Just make sure to read the printer box as it tells you what system they work with.

As Trai said, just check the box of the printer they want... most printers will work with Macintosh.
HP printers will even work with Macintosh, just need the correct drivers.

Check printer's manufactorer's website for available drivers for the mac and the specific operating system (OS) that the mac has. Another thing, if the printer has only a parallel connection and the drivers are available you will have to get a parallel to USB converter to use that printer (it may or may not work)
