I remember last year I purchased something on EBay and was directed to do the AW checkout and was so irritated by the extra hassle that I vowed never to use it when I signed up for Sales Manager. Last week I purchased an item and had to do the AW checkout thing and it went so smoothly that I am reconsidering my decision....

Am I seeing things in a different light or is it much better than it was? Do buyers seem to resent the extra step? It seemed so seamless that I barely noticed it (or so it seemed to me)...

Would appreciate feedback on the AW checkout and WBN (i use PP for WBN now)..thanks!

I'm not sure what all the changes are that AW checkout has gone through. I do use it. I noticed recently more customers actually fill out their name and mailing address, and later found out that improvements hade been made. I have never checked out myself as a buyer with AW checkout.

I do notice that most of my customers that pay quickly with Paypal will not use my AW checkout, even though the WBN comes from AW and encourages them to do so. I think the fast-paying Paypal cusotmers figure all the data you need will arrive in the Paypal notice. I buy on Ebay quite often, andf that is my procedure. I don't use checkout as a buyer unless I have to, in the cases where they don't take Paypal.

I put in my WBN that if you want to use paypal to go ahead and use it through the auction itself or directly through paypal. I only ask them to fill it out if they plan to use a check or money order, or I request that they email me their address so I have it for my records. Many people leave comments like "wow that was so easy to use" etc. in the AW form. I have only had 2 complaints about it. I figure this way I make everyone happy. I hate to force anyone to use it, but it saves me tons of time

I do all my WBN's by hand after I receive eBays EOA notice. From that notice I use that email address to send them. Well last night I didn't get 3 of them and I still haven't gotten them. I guess it's time to use AW checkout. Is there a way that you can see the finished product before you insert it into your auction?

libra63,

Just click on the strip of numbers after a closed listing in under sales manager and then click the go to checkout link. That is exactly what the buyers go to. You can fill it out to see how it works.

Libra, Just do a seller search for yourself and include e-mail address. then all you have do do is go staright down the line click on the e-mail and your done in a flash. With a simple cut and past with the bulk of information on it all you have to do is fill in the numbers and it takes about 30 seconds per auction to get it all done.
