I can't believe I just sent out the 2nd deadbeat bidder late notice to 203 people. I told them 48 hours payment must be received by paypal or I was filing and leaving "appropriate feedback".
I haven't filed since the end of January and a couple I won't even be able to file for the fees (which really don't add up to much since I started selling low $ items) but it is the fact that soo many people just don't bother to pay. Oh well, maybe it will spur 25% to pay in the next couple days.

Just had to vent! These are the bidders who take the fun out of ebay!

I guess one could say: "It's NOT alwaysfun!"

OTOH...

...Am I understanding this right, you are only giving the winning bidder 48 hours after the close to pay for the item?...Sometimes I don't get back on my computer for a few days for one reason or another..I feel it's a little unreasonable to expect payment in 2 days, unless it was explained in the auction...Just my opinion...

I think he was saying he's already given them more than enough notice so he sent a final payment due notice to allow them an extra 48 hours to pay.

I interpret it also as an extra 48 hours from the 2nd notice. I don't even go that route, after about 10-14 days, I go to NPB alert. That usually gets them to pay if they are just being lazy. Nothing will get the deadbeats to pay. I just don't really want to send first notices, second notices, NPB notices, etc. They get one invoice, and then the next communication from me is the NPB alert they receive from ebay.

if you accept paypal,it will send payment notices to your bidders and if they are paypal members, they usually pay within 2 days.
try it

This is much the way I do it. I state in my TOS that payment must be made within 10 business days. At this time, I send a warning notice giving the buyer 48 hrs. to respond or I file a NPB, & I do if there is no repsonse.

Trust me, these people have had over 3 weeks, some as long as 6 weeks to pay. I usually file on an regular basis but got way behind.
It just cracks me up how some people want to blame the seller. One guy told me to stick it up my *ss. I sent out an original email, then a reminder 14 days later, now am giving them one last chance to pay. Worked so far with about 25% of them. That is better than just writing them off.

It is a lot of paper work but I want to do my part to keep those deadbeat bidders from bidding on other's auctions.

And be sure to file for your Final Value Fee Credit. If more sellers would do that we would see more deadbeat bidders get kicked off. I know they can come back under a different ID and all that but at least they have to do a little extra work to screw sellers again.
