Why is a bidder who is Not a Registered User allowed to keep bidding on items?

I had this happen about 2 months ago. The bidder bid & then was Narued because someone stole her ID. It took about a week & she was cleared,& won the auction. She had over 600 + feddback. Paid promptly.

Regarding narus that keep bidding..... I know you're probably talking about a single ebay user ID that still somehow bids. But over the years I've spotted about 12 to 15 naru'd ebay deadbeats that absolutely are operating under another ID. Some even gave me their exact name & address after my auctions ended that they had from their earlier naru'd ebay ID because they forgot my seller name & my real life name, but I never forgot them. Can you imagine forgetting the name of one of the sellers that got you naru'd and then BIDDING on his items again and giving your name and address? It's happened to me quite a few times, since I deal in an area that has a large percentage of deadbeats. And yes Virginia, some of these wrongfully registered deadbeats are that dumb.

And do you know that when confronted with undeniable proof each time that a suspended ebay bidder is operating under another unauthorized ID, ebay only took action 2 or three times. Yep, you got that right. Ebay knowingly IGNORED proof (and it's actually ebay's job to ferret out these unauthorized bidders, not mine). But as always, on ebay, a seller really has to stay on his/her toes and fend for themself.

So as it stands right now, I know several naru'd deadbeats using new unauthorized ebay ID's that are currently driving prices up against legitimate bidders. It happens all the time, I'm sure. Who knows how many "unregistered users" exist with ebay's knowledge?
