The same thing happened to me just last week. I wrote to Paypal about it, but their response was to not depend on their email arriving in your mailbax, but rather, check your account yourself. So I do....

Same thing here. I'm getting emails from buyers that say, I just paid you by PayPal, but I received no notices from PayPal.

My first thought was that the buyer was entering the wrong PayPal account address.
When I checked, sure enough, the payment was there.

Best to check PayPal frequently, just in case.

Had the same thing happen to us last week, I do not want to piss off customers by sending out late notices

I missed getting a package/purchase mailed at Christmas because of that!
I went into my Preferences and had to recheck that I wanted to be notified.
Have you checked your preferences?

Me too, from the 20th to the 23rd, no payment notices! I had to email my customers and apologize for not sending their packages until today. Paypal needs to get on the ball! For the fees we pay, we need to have better customer support from them!

I learned a long time ago, don't depend on Paypal sending you e-mail notices of payment.I go to my account every morning checking for payments.

I've been having the same problem for a few months - on & off. I am trying to remember to check daily.

I am so glad I read these threads! I found two payments that I did not know about. I guess I can add 'check paypal every day' to my list of things to do. Thanks for the heads up!

For those that are AOl users I copied the message below from one of the boards. Not sure if it will solve the problem. Good Luck Sue

Hi all,

Many AOL users (notably those using AOL 8.0) are apparently not receiving email notifications from PayPal because the filters are blocking HTML-enabled email.

Two solutions that appear to resolve the issue (you can try either one):

From your PayPal account-

a) Log in to your PayPal account and go to your account PROFILE.
b) Go to NOTIFICATIONS
c) Go to NOTIFICATION FORMAT
d) un-check Emails in HTML format (this will change the emails to text)

From your AOL account-
1. Go to your email settings and change the preferences to accept emails with pictures/HTML.

Please contact tech support if doing one of these items does not resolve the issue for you.

I am not with AOL and for the last 2 weeks or so have not received any emails from Paypal that payment was made !

Today I had a buyer pay me and had to log into my Paypal acct to see if she did pay, never received their email !

I wish they would fix whatever is wrong because it's another step that us sellers have to do

Never had this problem before !

NOT gina50 on ebay

I never noticed regarding PayPal e-mail, but I don't and never did depend on PayPal e-mails, in fact I have my mail system set up to just dump them in a pre-arranged file. I have my mail set up the same way for eBay mail on SOLDS, and listings and such, my posting system knows when a sale or listing occurs, I don't need to read it again in an eBay e-mail, so when my mail comes in, it automatically goes into a file without my looking at it.

Every morning, I check all my web sites for orders, and PayPal for payments, I just don't feel e-mail for anything is totally dependable, so I just go through my daily check list, of web sites, and PayPal.
