This is hysterical.

I've got a winning who ignored my WBN, and the WBN reminder. When I filed a NPB alert with ebay, they respond with, "I emailed you to get your address, but never heard back." So, I ask them for proof of the email, citing, that I would have my system admin check out if there is a problem. They reply, "I don't keep my emails". Totally believable, but I know the truth. hehe.

10 days roll by, and still no payment. So I email them a payment reminder. They respond with, "I paid and received the item. I also left feedback. Please do the same." I sat there and laughed my *ss off because the item is sitting right next to me. So I check to see if they left feedback, and of course, the buyer did... get this... two days after the auction closed. So, I start checking to see if there is a pattern for other auctions, and sure enough, I find a few. I email the sellers to ask if they've had the same thing, and I get confirming responses from the sellers who say they've been perplexed by the buyer for the same reasons.

So, I email the buyer and let them know I'm onto their little scam. They email me back threatening to contact ebay and have them change the feedback they left on me. I about peed myself laughing so hard. They follow up with a barrage of emails stating, "You better not ruin my perfect rating..." Finally, they admit that their son thought he received it, but he actually received a different item that was similar from another seller. Then they follow up again with, "I paid you, and I expect my item. You are ripping me off, I paid you with a check." I email them back, telling them that they told me they sent a money order. Then they reply, "I sent you a money order bought at 7-11, and I better get my item."

So, I emailed them and requested the money order number, the brand of the money order and the date it was purchased so that I could verify it was purchased. I also gave them the classic, George W. ultimatum of, "the next email I receive from you must include this information, otherwise, no further communication will be made by me, and feedback and a NPB warning will be made.

As of today, I have received no email. Hmmm. I wonder....

Anyone else have similar problems in the past? Suggestions on dealing with a joker like this?

yes, my suggestion is file FVF and give them a big fat neg warning other sellers. then block them as a bidder and block their email.

I'd Like to share briefly a similer incident, and I take blame for letting it go too long, but had notified the winning bidder along with all the others who paid and their merchandise was shipped, this fellow never responded and here's where I messed up. Waited on him and the next thing I saw was a Negative and emailed him and said that I was beyond patient with him whereas I should have filed a Non Bidders, with eBay. He then telephones me and said I see that my negative got some action out of you. I was stunned, no clue and he said that he had emailed me "12" times, strangely his email was the ONLY email that never got through. I got alot of help from this board and he had an almost identical feedback from another seller so with his 1 feedback my negative gave him O, as I very rarely do this and in this case it was all blatant lies. But my husband told me to just deal with him anyway and so after his check cleared I shipped the item that I was selling for my husband. I have contacted S.Trade and to date, a month at least no answer. I wish I could help you as much as this Board has helped me and I am really grateful for them as I know they will also give you better insight than I. Take Care and the Best of Luck .
