When I purchased this Vase I was sure it was a McCoy, but couldn't find it listed in the two McCoy price guides that I have - anyone know what it is... and if it has a pattern name.

Hull pottery maybe? I have a piece of Hull that has the USA written the exact same way. However, it is marked Hull. Still could very well be McCoy. Have you scoured the Internet?

Is not MCoy, I believe it is from California Pottery Co. They marked their pottery USA. If it doesn't say McCoy on it, then don't consider it to be McCoy. Also be careful when buying McCoy as there a lot of fakes out there.

sanmar, I have to disagree. there are many McCoy pieces only marked with USA and there are many that are totally unmarked....the same is true of most potteries.
and most fakes or reproductions DO have the mark on them...what would be the use of going to the trouble of creating a fake and not putting the mark on it?

I agree with rarriffle on this one. I too have heard that early McCoys can have USA on them. (However, I just bought the latest Kovel's pottery marks booklet and NOWHERE in it - duhhhh - do they have ANY USA mark! What is wrong with those people?!!)
