More importantly, who is this "MISS USE" person and what the heck is an "AUTHOMATIC sent mail"?

i feel very sorry for the new sellers who don't know about boards like this and are scammed by these things. just a few falling for this everytime they send them could make for a very large haul.

I've gotten alot of those - just forward the whole thing to [email protected] and they will investigate it. They are taking this pretty seriously, got an immediate response from them also.

Less than 24 hours ago I received this e-mail from Ebay Safe Harbour <[email protected]>

"We regret to inform you that your eBay account could be suspended if you don't resolve your problems. We ivestigate fraud on our site, we need to verify your identity in our database. To resolve this problems please send us your user ID and password to verify your identity and login to your account in order to resolve your account problems. If your problems could not be resolved your account will be suspended for a period of 3-4 days, after that it will be again operational.

Per the User Agreement, Section 9, we may immediately issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our services to you if we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our users or us. We may also take these actions if we are unable to verify or authenticate any
information you provide to us.

Due to the suspension of this account, please be advised you are prohibited from using eBay in any way. This includes the registering of a new account.

Please note that this suspension does not relieve you of your agreed-upon obligation to pay any fees you may owe to ebay.

Thank you for understanding !

Regards,

Safeharbor Department
eBay, Inc.

I have yet to do anything about this. Has anyone else received this e-mail?

Please note that safe-harbor is mis-spelled and the first paragraph contains several typos and improper use of the language. The second paragraph comes directly from the user agreement. I plan to send this e-mail to safe-harbor.

Just got my first fake eBay email. It starts off Dear valued costumer. Thats your first clue......they don't know how to spell customer! There are a few other mistakes of wrong word used that tip you off they are probably not English speaking. I was feeling left out since I had never received one.

May God protect our troops and bring them home soon!
