Incredible luck being able to get this far without a single negative. As a seller I know that some people just can't be pleased, no matter how nice you are to them.

Shipping is not by Priority, and for that price, he most likely isn't using e/DC either. Insurance is at the buyer's option.
He also has a lot of negative sounding stuff in his terms.
I would say he's just been really lucky so far.

I think his terms are fine--straightforword and not overly onerous. Looks like he's got lots of repeat business, too.

This is the most impressive feedback rating I've ever seen on ebay overall
http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=midnite718%40aol.com
only 2 negatives in 22,519 transactions and still has a 100% positive rating.

They must not leave negatives on non paying bidders. Most of my negatives are retaliatory from deadbeats!

sabreena,
Then stop leaving negs for deadbeats. It ultimately does not accomplish anything. You are better off just filing the FVF to get your money back, and if they get enough of those they get tossed. Someone can have 50 positives, 50 negatives, and still be buying on ebay.

I totally agree with ahc3 on that. The final FVFs are coffin nails while the negatives are only gnats pestering an elephant. They can open a new account but it gets more and more difficult to easily do that these days.

I just sent an e-mail to all of my deadbeats linking to his/her auctions...That will unquestionably do the trick...

The seller mentioned in the first post sells in a single category, and we've had discussions before about how customers vary by category. Other than that, it seems pretty clear that this seller goes above and beyond to get merchandise out quickly and in good condition.
The second seller seems to list in categories that are pretty rough, but still has massive, glowing and surprisingly personal feedback. When you see another eBayer with nearly 1,200 positives of their own refer to you as "the best" (and I checked, this is not a phrase that person tosses around lightly) that speaks volumes.
It would be nice to keep this thread going. It helps everyone to see people who seem to be getting it right.

I have seen several sellers with a feedback rating over 3,000 with no negatives. They must offer great customer service.
Sometimes there is a granny or grandma as part of their ebay ID and nobody wants to give a negative to a grandma do they?

Now THAT *IS* impressive. And since he sells one of a kind items, he can't even replace them when once in a while they MUST get lost in the mail. It has to happen once in a while with that many transactions.
