My bidder from Canada now wants a refund for the item she says she never received. I called the post office and they told me if was delivered on the 9th cleared customs on the 8th. I am sending her a fax with the receipt and I have sent her five times already the tracking number. She wants me to call the Canadian Post office to find out what happened. I have had it with her. She paid by money order. Would you refund?

Once you turn over the package to the carrier (USPS) your responsiblity is over. If insured, USPS bears the loss, If not insured, buyer bears the loss (as long as you can prove it was mailed)
How do you know that the buyer did not receive it? Buyer may want item plus her/his money back.

There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

If the package has a tracking number and it says it was delivered the insurance will not pay. I just had that happen with a package I sent...

I would think that she would check with her own post office to see where it might be hung up. Could be someone else in the household picked it up and did not tell her.

If she does not want to check on this it would make me somewhat wary. One would have to ask why she ignores the tracking number. Insurance will not pay out if it shows it got there. Refund? No!

Now the bidder went to Square Trade. How does this work? I filled out the form. Told my side of the story. I faxed her proof of delivery tracking from the USPS and a copy of the Express Mail form. Why should I contact Canada for her? My part is done. She herself told me that Canada was holding it customs but.... the receipt shows it clearing customs on 4/8. All I can guess is that she didn't pay taxes that might on been placed on it. Are there any Ebayers from Canada who can clue me in on how this works?

Going off to do my Yoga!

You didn't even have to participate, but maybe this will put your buyer to some piece of mind.
