I have 1 neg received in retaliation from a NPB. This user has since been NARU'd (yay!). How long before the notation next to the neg indicates it is from a NARU'd user? I am not a power seller and sell handcrafted items, so 1 neg to me was very upsetting!

Thanks, folks!

I have no idea how long it will take, but don't let that one retaliatory neg get you down!! There are an abundance of bidders out there abusing the feedback system. We all know that. Write a comment under his neg indicating that it was relatiatory neg from a non-paying bidder and move on. I both sell and buy. Hardly ever pay any attention to feedback (unless there is an exorbitant number of negs). Don't let this person's childish behavior ruin your day.

More importantly, do they still even do that?

If the neg worries you because of how people will judge a less than perfect rating, don't let it. As I mentioned in another thread I got a nutcase neg in the first week or so of an account I oopened last month. Because it was so new, I went thru one listing week with a very ugly looking 60% positive rating staring out at all perspective buyers. I was so convinced that little green number was going to kill me that I didn't bother to check bidding progress until just before closing. I realized then tht the numbers men nothing if you have the right product. I had a 100% sell thru that week and even now when it is in mid 90s I'm doing great.

It may hurt your pride, but its highly unlikely it will hurt your sales.

The neg stays even if the buyer is NARU. ( wasn't that way several years ago ) The NARU notation next to a Naru ebayer use to be added instantly but now may take a while, much like how long it takes for feedback rating to increase after a feedback has been left.

The naru buyer can get rid if his naru status by getting one of the three sellers that filed an NPB on him in the last 90 days to retract the NPB.
