A non-paying buyer that I had a couple months ago has written and asked me if he could pay for the item now to remove his NPB. I filed an FVF on the auction, relisted and sold the item. I wrote him and told him this. He wants to go ahead and pay me anyway for my trouble and to get me to write to E-bay to get the NPB removed. I looked at the NPB removal site and I don't see how I can do this. Anybody ever have this problem? And how did you solve it?

Here's the link for doing that

http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/npb.html

One problem is that you'll need that auction number and also if the transaction is older than 90 days it is a 'no can do'. Many buyers think you can simply write an email to ebay and they will fix the problem but it is like trying to fix a feedback and ebay rarely tries to fix those.

I have had that happen many times and when the payment arrives and clears I go into the NPB form and there is an area where you can remove it. But as .......auctionace..........mentioned I also dont know if you can if its more then 90 days,
But it is very easy to remove The FVF, that went against your bidder.........Just go where you file for your FVF and you will see the link..........then ebay will add the charge to your account since you did get paid for the item.

I looked at that page and I can't do it unless it is tied to an auction. I can't tie it to anything because I sold the item under a different # to another buyer. I have done it before when I have still had the item. I think I probably shoud just tell him it can't be done. I can't think of any way to do it. He sure didn't put himself out for me and I also don't need to be spending a lot of time on this. I think Fetish might be right!!!

The same thing happened to me recently. A buyer won a video and never paid for it and I went throught the NPB process. I relisted the video and it sold for much less the second time. A few months pass and the buyer writes and asks to have the NPB removed as he says he paid for the video. He must have won both times with different IDs or claimed to have paid the first time. The transaction was over 90 days old and not in the ebay database. He wasn't narued but must have received his second warning on that ID and wanted some breathing room.
I wonder how many buyers use two IDs to get an item cheaper? Reverse shilling? They drive away the people interested in the item and buy it at a lower price when it's re-listed.
