My auction ends in about two hours. I just got this email:

ARE THERE ANY CRACKS, CHIPS OR PROBLEMS. I AM USING SOMEONE ELSE'S COMPUTER SO I WILL HAVE TO BID BEFORE RECEIVING WORD FROM YOU.. IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS I WOULD RETURN THEM FOR A FULL REFUND. THANKS
JERI

I immediately checked my listing and they had already bid! I said in the auction they were in very good condition. I would rather not sell to them, they sound kooky. I went in and added them to my blocked bidder's list, but they still show up as high bidder. How do I get rid of their bid, without cancelling everyones? Thank you.

I've never cancelled a bid.
But I'm sure you can cancell just theirs.
Just checked you can do it here.

They asked the condition of the item and they are kooky? I think you may be projecting.

neonmania, you didn't look at their email as a whole.

Some sellers put "very good condition" and the item has chips and cracks that aren't mentioned so some bidders get wary and want to double check. I wouldn't cancel his bid.

Even though I state condition very carefully in my auctions I still occasionally get e-mails with bidders wanting to confirm the condition of the item. They have been burned on things before and now they don't take chances. I can't blame them.

kiara, I understand where they are coming from. I have bought things called mint and they turn out to be chipped. But to tell me they don't have time to wait for an answer when it is two hours until the auction ends. And then to say they will just return it for a full refund if it isn't what they expect. It sounds to me as if THEY are jumping to the conclusion that it is damaged and that they will have to return it. That is what bothers me.

They are maybe at one computer and they have to leave and won't be back to their own before the auction ends.

I would only worry if there was something wrong with the items and I had failed to mention it. If they are in reality "very good condition" the bidder will probably be happy with them.

I agree that I wouldn't like the part where he makes assumptions but maybe he did that to try to have some recourse in case they are damaged.

They are in very good condition. I showed two about 28k sized pictures, and they should have checked my feedback of over 99% positives. 1150 positives showing.

Ha! Ha! Ha! :+) I hope I wasn't just over reacting. Her wording bothered me. She seemed to be anticipating that there was something wrong with them. I was so indecisive that I canceled her bid and blocked her from bidding. Then I thought about it and released the block. Someone else won them for almost $120 over my reserve. You're right. At the first sign of a problem, I headed straight here!
