I've been using this "live help" tool within my ebay auction(s) to help answer my potential customers and bidders questions. I've found this tool to be very use full for the last half hour to an hour of my auctions when my ad is getting the most exposure on ebay.

Not only that people feel so much more comfortable buying from me when I've used this . I just wanted to run it by everyone it just might help with you obtaining more sales for you auctions. Here is the example they have .

You know something? A business web home-page with spelling and/or grammar errors is truly tacky :

"Bidders can finally get there questions answered instantly without waiting to get e-mails from the sellers . You can direct your bidders to find more information regarding your item or just answer there questions . Generate REPEAT BUSINESS by increasing buyers comfort through meeting you."

Invest in a 30 cent spell-checker or consult with someone's 7th grade daughter before opening up!

Bidders can finally get thier questions answered instantly.

Nice try but I think you should take tomwiii's advice and get that spell check....... lots of free ones online so you can save that 30 cents. http://www.spellcheck.net/

The one "satisfied ebay seller" (iggy....) that is promoted seems to spell just like you do. And so does "Tim" who also says what a great service it is. Are you all related? You all say your instead of you are or you're.

Let me say I'm not perfect either! Good luck with it.

"Bidders can finally get thier questions answered instantly."

My old grade school teachers said that the rule is "I before E except after C"

I think their rule is weird.

Nah - I'm here too and I notice that you and the copywriter for this service have the same annoying habit of misusing apostrophes. When adding a s to denote a plural form, there is no need for an apostrophe. That's a very unique mistake and the coincidence is.... well.... downright astounding, some might say.

The way you present yourself in writing has the same impact as the way you present yourself in person. You may not care how things are spelled or punctuated, but you ARE going to turn off buyers who know better. And many many buyers know better.

Nobody wants to appear snobbish, but the truth, if you can handle it, is that we are INSTANTLY judged, like it or not, by the way we use our own English language. Sloppy use of the language translates, unfortunately, in our brains as sloppy product. Sloppy clothing, hair, etc., translates as sloppy product.

We create what happens to us.

We teach people how to treat us.

My old grade school teachers said that the rule is "I before E except after C".

I was over 40 years old before I found out That there is a second part to the saying, though.

The complete one goes:
"I before E except after C,
Or when sounded like A in neighbor and weigh."

Or when sounded as "I" as in Einstein, height, sleight, and stein.

Kiara,

WOW!
Another one I didn't know!
I would appear that proper spelling and grammar are becoming something of a "lost technology" for the masses.

Okay, let's get the really complete rule:

"I before E except after C,
Or when sounded like "A" in neighbor and weigh.
Or when sounded as "I" as in Einstein, height, sleight, and stein.
Or sometimes when sounded like "E" as in weird."

What the hell kind of lousy rule is that? Are teachers still pushing this on innocent kids? Just learn to spell the individual words, as we do with all the other words.

Edited cuz I had a thought....
