I love going to the flea market and now that the season is here, I hope to find loads of collectibles to stuff into my already stuffed house. Just when I thought I wouldn't find that one special piece for the house, I found it! Of course, it took traveling through the entire flea market to run into it. I collect orientalia and although most of my pieces are 17th and 18th century Chinese and Japanese, I thought this piece fit right in. What a fun find!
The pagoda lights up. It has a tacky red bulb in it right now, but that can be remedied. The only flaw is one small nick on one of the pagoda's eaves. It's signed Universal Statuary Co. Chicago 1958. Cool!
Of course, my boyfriend doesn't care for it. He thinks it takes up too much room. Well, I can fix that. Anyone interested in a boyfriend that takes up a lot of room? My collection needs more space.
Anyone else come across anything interesting this weekend at the flea market?
