My son, who lives in Silicon Valley and is quite a computer whiz, has been giving me advice now and then about my auctions. He has wondered if I'd like a graphics button in my auctions; I'm not familiar with this but I did caution that I don't want anything that moves!!and distracts, and I don't want anything that makes uploading of my auctions slower.

His e-mail is below; any thoughts? advice?

I *FULLY* understand your concern about upload time. That's an 800-lb gorilla that we were constantly fighting at [my former job] and I always deal
with. I optimize images I'm putting on the web, so it shouldn't impact load time too much. Can you point me to types of buttons you've seen on
the web or do you want me to "wing it?" What do you want the text on it to be and what size do you want it?

Doug.

Remember when I gave you the URL code so you could (click here) and go to the postal scale.
Same thing just a different shape and wording.

Be careful that you understand and comply with eBay's rules on links if you do this.

"He has wondered if I'd like a graphics button in my auctions "

Oh yeah, five or six buttons should get you higher bids....

Fluffy: Can you direct me where to look for Ebay's rules?

Capotasto: I'm assuming you're kidding here. Could you explain further?

A button that does what?

Do you mean a logo?

Replay: Not a logo. I think he's thinking that a clickable link to the p.o. priority site or a clickable link to my other auctions could be made more visible with a button.

I know that sometimes people who've designed websites etc. are used to bells and whistles. I see no need to change my links unless some of you think it would make the links more visible on the auction page. Just looking for a little advice here, since I'm basically lazy AND fearful of change!

If you go to Site Map, you can access the Help Center from there. Just search on "Links".
