I had an auction won by someone wanting me to ship to Indonsia. I'm no newbie and know what goes on in Indonesia, so I told him I could only accept payment from BIDPAY, which I've used before. It's hard to cheat on a money order.
But, I get a notice this morning that he has paid through Payingfast.com. I've never used that service before, but it appears to be about the same as Bidpay.
Is it as safe to accept as Bidpay, and worthwhile signing up with those guys?

Here's one of they're rules.....Looks Safe to me.I've never heard of them before...maybe some else has...I didn't have a problem with my Indonesian buyer either if thats any help.
With PayingFast, payment is guaranteed. Once the money order is sent, you are guaranteed your payment, and there is no possibility that you will receive a chargeback, as other online payment services may do.

I've accepted payments from them before & they seem good! A bit more stringent with security because they also allow MO's for non-auction purchases, unlike BidPay!
I trust them & they seem to have the same "NO-CHARGEBACK" protection that BP offers informally!
Same deal...ya get da 2 emails: the #2 guarantees a MO is in the mail to ya!

As a seller, I have used Payingfast for about 1 year and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever. They (Payingfast) send out payment funds (e.g, Money Order) to me very quickly. Never had a bidder actually use Payingfast from Indonesia though.
I just checked the Payingfast list of countries they service and Indonesia is
not on their list.

The buyer claims to be in Florida. He just wants the item hipped to Indonesia. The Payingfast payment is from a Flordia address.
Maybe now you see why certain red flags are popping up.
But everything I see on Payingfast.com looks legitimate, so I'm planning on going ahead and sending the CD.
It's only a seven dollar item with $6 for global priority mail, so the total is only around $13.00... I'm not seriously worried about it, but I hate getting taken advantage of.

payingfast is legitimate.
overseas scammers use usa drop off locations as ordering and receiving points.
if it were fraud, you wont eat the loss, payingfast will.

Had a little,,,,,problem with pay pal,,,,basically their reply, over the phone mind you was, if you go through with it and it don't work out, yer screwed! We lock up your account till the future problem is resolved. We WILL be protecting the BUYER. Sorry SELLER. LOL, I,,,,, as the SELLER,,,, don't trust the BUYER. Refunded his payment and told him send me a Money Order. He IS sending a Money order.(I hope I saw a Chargeback heading right at me, right between the eyes, I ducked! Pay pal! there IS NO Protection! Guaranteed!

payingfast non auction payment is limited to 75 dollars.
seller gets a money order so by the time chargeback cometh, paying fast would have to deal with it,not the seller.
it is hard to recall a money order which has been cashed already!

Payingfast works like bidpay (though I find them a bit better) and once that check is in your hands you are safe. Actually, once you get the second email, you are fine. But make sure that you are getting a real payingfast email and not a forged one. Also, you have to ship to the address on the payingfast document. So if the card was a US card and that is the address payingfast sends you, that is where you are supposed to ship.
I dont think Payingfast will come after you for $13 if it turns out to be a scam, but why let a scammer get away with it if you can help it?

"once that check is in your hands you are safe. ... Also, you have to ship to the address on the payingfast document."
Well that makes no sense at all. Once I have the MO, I can ship wherever the hell the buyer tells me to. Even for a $1,000 check, what will they do, take me to court? Hah!
BTW re Indonesia, I hope you have read the article in the current (June) Maine Antique Digest re the Indonesian scammers.

yeah, buyer is in az or new mexico ,but please ship the items to russia, indonesia, nigeria or ghana.
if they use paypal, they have to register first and some sellers wont ship to non confirmed addr and all overseas add are non confirmed.
