I have a road runner email account and a yahoo one. Previously when I go on vacation I take the email forwarding off my yahoo account and just look at it on the web (meanwhile praying that some impatient buyer isn't emailing my road runner address). I was having trouble with road runner earlier and had to call tech support. They gave me a web site where you can check any email account online - how cool is that!? And it's free

I for one did not know that! Is there any catch to it? Will I start getting spam from them or people they sell my e-mail address to? Nice to know, ihula, and thanks.

The tech support person said it is a place to go and check your existing mail account, so you won't get anymore spam than you already do - since it's your account. I don't know how easy it is to reply to emails and if you can use attachments, etc.

you can't view attachments.

I've used this for quite a while to read my outlook mail when I'm away from home, thanks to a former poster on AW.

reply is easy but I think it might look a little weird because I've had people say something about it. since then I've just always say I'm away from my computer and checking my email through mail2web and just please reply to my regular email account.

I've used it before. After you reead your mail, do not delete your messages or the messages will be deleted off your server & you will not be able to retreive them from your home PC.

There are lots of places like that. e-mailanywhere.com is one of them.
You can also use your Yahoo account to get it. Just log in to your yahoo mail account then click on mail options then mail accounts then add and go through the setup. Every free email place I ever used had this option.
