I see a great ibm computer that closes in a few hours for a great price. However the seller has no feedback and only takes personal checks or money order. Is there any protection here?

Big question is..... is it a new computer? If this is a used computer it is not at all hard to imagine that they are a legit new seller that simply is not up on the different options. The fact that they take personal checks makes me more inclined to think trusting newbie than jaded scam artist.
