I have a couple thousand common baseball cards from the late 80's. They really don't have much value (guide is something like a nickel). I've tried to sell lots of 100 for a buck with no luck.
I know you can claim values for donated items for tax purposes. Could I take these cards and figure on a nickel a card on the tax write-off part if I gave them to Goodwill?

I think that is up to the Goodwill you donate them to. Find out how much you can deduct for your federal taxes. I think it is up to $500.00 but I might be wrong...
Our good will doesn't even care they just hand you a blank piece of paper and you fill it out...but there is a limit.
