Don't forget to add in the tax benefit from working from home not to mention the savings in therapy bills resulting from the craziness of working 9-5 "normal" business world!

Hard to say, really. I draw $1,000 a week from the business, but I don't know exactly how many hours I work. It really varies, since my partner's schedule is flexible as well and time with him is always a top priority.
I do know I never seem to get caught up.

Then you need to find more items of value and multiples of them. That way you you only write the auction once and just load when you are ready to list the item again.
Another thing to keep in mind is when you are in front of your computer, you aren't out spending money (at least I am not). Penny saved penny earned thing. Also in my case, since I becames so good at it, my employer opened a new division just for online auctions and e-commerce. Now I have three others under me and I now have more time to write on these stupid waste your time message boards.

Let's pray Stoney runs out of time to post on worthless message boards.
Many or perhaps the vast majority of ebay sellers sell on ebay as a hobby. That's what I do and I consider it similar to the hobby of fishing. You try your luck in the lake or whatever and you may catch a string of fish or the grand daddy of the lake or an old boot. It's a hobby where you can at least make some money instead of spending it.

This is a good topic. I decided about 3 months ago to keep track of every hour I work, and track everything from shipping fees, paypal fees, ebay fees, costs of goods, selling price (plus extras that sold after auction to past customers who contact me via email.) I tracked the cost of my DSL, taxes I pay, my benefits from working from home, etc. And I was very pleased with the outcome, I found that the average over the last 12 weeks is $23.65 and hour. Which is pretty good since I don't work as many hours as I could. Now I figure I can increase my auctions and hire someone and pay them $8.00 an hour to process payments and ship the items and still work the number of hours I work now and make even more than I am making currently. It took me almost 4 years (I quite my full time job 4 yrs ago) to get it down to work, as I have went months with making nothing on ebay but working 60 hours a week to get diddly-squat.
It can be done and I am glad I can tell those family and friends who say that I don't have a real job that I am making more then they are with less hours. Of course they have a bit more in 401K in the last 4 years but hey, I work in my PJ's when I want and that my friend, is worth way more than the amount per hour as I am not a morning person!!
