Since last I posted a message I've been waiting for the $45 to be deposited in my bank account. We did the transaction through paypal.

I keep visiting the site and see "unconfirmed" whatever that means. Then I go to check Paypal acct profile info, and it appears there was no bank account listed.

Why didn't paypal send an email asking me to give them a bank account?

I guess the moneys been sitting there all this time.

Boy, these are some sorry people.

hi salgal .... you might want to write this info to [email protected] ... he is usually a pretty darn helpful fella in these circumstances ... give him 1 or 2 days to reply ... betcha he will .... if that fail, call 888-221-1161 and discuss ...

Instead of starting a new thread, I have a question to ask:

How do (I/we) place our items on foreign market auctions; for example, Ebay Japan. I just went to EbayJapan and noticed that the item will ship from Tokyo to the U.S.

That means there are Americans on the Japanese Ebay bidding.
Is there a reversal? How do we get our goods on Ebay/Japan? or any other site in Asia?

you have to register at ebay-japan or ebay china and list items in that language

"Why didn't paypal send an email asking me to give them a bank account?"

First, be sure the payment isn't pending which you have to Accept or Deny. If so, Accept it.

Second, when you WITHDRAW funds from PP you have to enter the Amoutn and how you want the funds (mailed check, deposit to bank account, etc)

If you select Deposit to bank account, it will indicate your bank account number (you can have several accounts listed and select the one where it will go).

If PP does not have this info, no account number will show. Just where do you think they can send it? How do you think they know your bank account number if you don't tell them?

Most problems with PP are operator error - and you are the operator.

yes,you have to tell paypal your bank account and it has to be verified before they will transfer fund to your bank account.
they will make 2 deposits to your bank account and email you that they have done so.
when you find out from your bank what these deposits are,you go to your paypal account and enter the amount of the 2 deposits.

This I don't understand.
I do business with Half.com all the time and they are apart of Half.com.
If my account is on file with Half.com, why do I have to go through this?

Just received another email from them stating I have to confirm the account, yadayada, but it's unnecessary as far as I'm concerned and it stalls the transfer of funds.

Okay, let me explain.
In order to have Half/Ebay transfer funds from sales I had to give them my checking account.
So I thought since Ebay owned Paypal, all that information was on file.
I always get transfers into the account from Half.com; this was new to me, that I had to report the account to Paypal, which is owned by Half/Ebay.

Hold it. Don't answer that email. Go into the PayPal site and do it from there. There is a PayPal email going around, as I received one, it looks official and it isn't. Remember eBay and PayPal will never ask you for your information, you have to go into that site and do it from there.

eBay and PayPal are separate entities. They both existed prior to the buyout. They cannot assume that just because you have an eBay account that you'd have a PayPal account too. I have 4 different eBay accounts and 1 paypal account.

You can't expect PayPal or anyone else for that matter to be a mind reader or ASSUME they know where you want the money put.

I would strongly recommend that you sign back in to your paypal account, click on HELP at the upper right corner of the screen (next to LOG OUT) and read through the FAQ's. They are divided into categories to make things easier. There's even a category marked "WITHDRAWING FUNDS"

Salgal - do you actually read or do any reasearch whatsoever before you sign up for things?

PayPal - when you hadd your bank account you have to then confirm it. PayPal will make two small (under $1.00) deposits into your account and email you to let you know this has been done. You must then go to your account, get the amounts and enter them on PayPAl. this confims that this is either your account or one you have enough access to that you can track transactions

Ebay Japan - Dead in the water. - Shut down due to lack of interest - Yahoo Japan is the ruler of that market.

Also please understand that ownership and management are two different matteers. Ebay as a corporation owns Ebay, Half, PayPal, and partial interest in numerous other compnaies. This does not however mean that they are all run out of the same office. They are run as seperate entities which is the financially responsible thing to do. GE owns NBC - if GE has your address do you think NBC does too?
