I SHOULD be listing, but I have picked up some INCREDIBLE buys on Ebay this last week.
One from a catagory that I collect in and search daily, but for some reason their key words didn't make it pop up in the search, I think because they had it in quotation marks. I accidently found it 7 hours before the auction closed and won.
The other is a present for my husband and they didn't list the title of it, just generic. I wasn't sure of the title myself but saw that several collectors had bid on it. Got it for $20.00, it sells for $200.00.
Makes me think I'll wait to list until the summer slump gets over.

There are many regular ebayers that constanly search with misspelled words to find rare items at great prices. It's survival of the fittest out there.

I picked up some fabulous books a week ago for a virtual song. They usually go for nearly list. The seller made no errors in the listing that I could see - there were just no bidders. I was the only sale she made that week!

There are tremendous bargains out there in ebay now. I'm sure there are a lot of shocked sellers that see their great items go for the low starting price while they had envisioned a lot of bids and a good final price.

Try sniping auctions at 6-7 am EST there is no one on as all the Californians are in bed and the Easterners are not moving yet.
I sell all my things at 7-9 pm but only buy at 6-7am
Its a good thing I have a night job and can sleep all day.

The trouble with timing sniping at odd hours and thinking it will always pay off is that many bidders who snipe have software that takes care of this for them or they use a sniping service.

"many bidders who snipe have software that takes care of this ..."
You cannot snipe as well as the software or service can. Any bidder who does not use this is missing the boat. All my bids go in at 3 or 4 seconds before the end of auction.
