If you want to find out where the person really is State wise, go to the usps on line, fill in a bunch of B.S.(naturally the zip code) In the end you will "S@@" what area they really are in. It would really be nice if E bay would put the bidders State SOMEWHERE on the buyers I.D. card so at a quick glance you could "S@@",,,,,where they are especially for those who say,,,NO SHIPPING! WILL NOT SHIP! MUST PICK UP the 300 pound Piano. UNITED STATES is a Beautiful statement but it is worthless on E bay. Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Seattle, Podunk, makes a heck of a lot more sense.

Yup, back on another crusade to make it easier.

Edited to say,,,,O.k. let's figure this,,,,LOL, I will when I figure what I was thinking. Something about overseas bidders. I'll figure some angle.

I was reading another form on another service a while ago and there was discussion about the new page layout. Someone said that ebay was going to force all sellers to put their region/state in the region box and there would be no more of the vague locations allowed. I hope that's true.

They also said that before but not many did that. I think that would be very helpful. What do I care who knows I live in Wisconsin, well maybe cowboy fans wouldn't like it, or even the city I live in. I put in mine Wisconsin and my zip code. Then I put in my auctions TOS the weight of my package so if they want to calculate the postage everything is there. Saves on emails

Oh Beautiful for spacious skies,,,,,,,Thank YOU! Ace!!!!! Glad to hear that! Wunderful!

I put it right in mine, Boonedunk. I have sold many things I might not have if they had not seen my spelled out location right there! I noticed you are in blah, blah, blah. We will be sure to bid as you are close to us. There are 3 important words in Real Estate, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. E BAY needs to follow those same words. Location.

But, if they are bidders and not sellers it still won't help.

Example: I received an email today from a bidder I had blocked because of a previous problem. He was not a happy camper. Then, not 5 minutes later I get a bid on the item he was inquiring about. Another user ID maybe? It would have been nice to see where he was from so I could see. If it was on the feedback page I could tell more about it.

Libra,,,Thank You! Now does that make sense? YES! YES! YES! LOCATION.

O.K. Everyone, you know WHAT to do. They killed the [email protected] address. Is there another way to get to the Top Dogs on e bay and when we find out start hammering on their Door. BAM!!!!! BAM!!!! BAM!!!!!

WE want narrowed down locations! State is good enough. Metropolitan City even better! L.A. O' Ley!

And the beat goes on,,,,,,,,,,

Yup, it won't help much with the buyers unless they are sellers as well.
The new page layout is a lot more than changing the layout a little. The new layout will force sellers to conform to a lot of the rules and location description is one of them. If the seller is afraid to list his region then something isn't right. The backgrounds that cover the entire page should be gone with the new layout too. The new page layout with get rid of all lot of the programming tricks that sellers use. I hope they get rid of stupid cursors things that follow the mouse on the page too. They need some standardization of the sellers page and they are going for it.

Lindajean, I am lost as to what you are contradicting yourself on but, if you saw an i.d. card that said podunk on it once and then saw another i.d. that said podunk, would that NOT ring a bell? Same person 99% with another I.D. and that would end these get back bidders too. Sure they have muliple i.d.'s the same week you see podunk. something is up! BAD something! Caution bells ring.

You folks are over boiling the pot, where are the people? Matters not if they are Buyers OR Sellers. UNITED STATES is too broad! refine and that's it. Period.

Or Canada, What Province? Or Germany, what hamlet. OR England. What, hahahaa, whatever they call their City. Japan, Tokyo, E bay narrowed this world down and they need to refine it right on e bay.

Beat on some doors and make this happen.

Another change I noticed is that you can no longer do a bidder search with an email address, you have to have the user ID. If you don't have it, your directed to a page that gives you a code number, you enter it & then are given the used ID.
This causes me a lot of extra time because I have several bidders bidding on many items over several days. When they are finished they email me for a total with postage.
I used to just cut & paste their email address & go to bidder search. Now I have to find one of their auctions in my book to get their user ID or go to another ebay page to get the code. An extra step either way that slows me down.

How do we send this suggestion to ebay? Here is the page but when I click on "Suggestion" I just go to the pop-up page and then go in circles. Is there a trick to this?

It like the suggestion box where Homer Simpson works. It empties into a trash can or something.
