If not does anyone know what mark it is? It's on the bottom of a small figurine of a little girl in a blue dress.

Ok - first it looks like I need help in how to post the picture.

I'm a Capo collector and even I'm not certain whether this is authentic or not. Could I please see a photo of the entire item? Sometimes knock-offs will be made with half of the crown so as to make people think it is original Capo. I can't really tell unless I see the piece.

Thank you for posting the picture but I'm sorry to tell you that in my opinion this is not authentic Capodimonte. It's a very cute figurine but not in the Capo style. I also did some investigating in my Capo reference books and the crown that looks like an eyelash is a copy of Capo style but not original.

Sorry! I wish I had better news for you. Hope this helps.

The auction is already listed. (2643771793) I stated that I believed it was a Capodimonte mark - do you think I should revise the listing - or cancel it?

The Capodimonte crown mark and the Neapolitan N in Naples were allowed to lapse, so they were free for any to use and I think your figurine is from a factory in China but it does look porcelain.

Here are the true Capodimonte marks.

http://www.onlinecollectibles.com/faq/capodimonte2.htm

You don't have to cancel the auction but you can revise it. The way it is, true Capo collectors will realize that it's not genuine but newbies may believe it is and perhaps complain to you afterwards if they find out otherwise. Perhaps change the title name from Capodimonte to Porcelain but you can still have the description mention the N and crown mark.

Good luck with it.
