I know there is a name for the first object, but for the life of me I cannot remember what it's called. I'd like to find comparable things to get an idea of price. What would you call the second item? I don't think I'd use it as a candy dish. No clue there either.

Thanks cherishedclutter! It was on the tip of my tongue and the harder I tried to remember, the worse it got. Oh, old age is such a burden. LOL!

I think I'd be more precise on the first item and call it half of a silent butler set. The brush or wand-like thing that brushes the crumbs into the box isn't there, is it?
No, it's not. It seems to have been used for ashes many years ago. There are still remnants. Anyway, it's for my oriental collection. I just hate it when I can't remember what something is. I'm selling the second item. It seems oriental in nature to me given the shape of the legs and the enameling. Yet, the decoration seems Nouveau. It's beautifully done and enameled on the bottom as well.

Without the handle it is 3" wide and 4.5" long so it's not real big. I don't think it was intended for crumbs or the European or US market.
