I have tried to go to the USPS website for the last 3 days to order Priority supplies but keep getting something about security and then it takes me back to home page. I haven't ordered in about a year so can someone help me get past the security page to the page where the supplies are listed. Thanks!!

Do you have zone alarm or some other type of firewall?

I normally have my zone alarm set for medium cookie control and ad blocking.

I have to turn off the zone alarm cookie control and ad blocking inorder to get into the USPS store.

If worse comes to worse you can register again at the site and start all over.

Hi. Thanks for all the info. I used your link and it still wouldn't work. I re-registered to start all over again. Still get the same message "For security reasons current session with Postal Store timed out or couldn't be retrived. You will be redirected back to Home page." I did add Norton Firewall a few months ago but never dreamed it would keep me out of websites. I thought it was for incoming stuff. Anyway, can I temporarily disable the Firewall to go there? Maybe I will have to call them to order. Does anyone have the #? This is so aggravating.

Sounds like the firewall did it. Can you adjust the security level on Windows 'tools' on the toolbar? If you move the slider to low maybe you can use the site and change it back after you visit the site.

Thanks AuctionAce. I am already at low on the slider on Norton. I guess I can disable the Internet Security while I go there and then re-enable it when I am done. Do you know if that will work?

Try deleting your cookies. I had the problem a few weeks ago. I don't remember exactly what I did to fix it but I think it worked after deleting them. If that doesn't work, try a different browser.

It's worth a try. The firewalls often cause security problems. Kinda ironic isn't it.

Well, I give up! I disabled Norton and I still got the message. I tried a bunch of other things and still couldn't get in. I cleaned my cookies out and still got the message. I guess I will get the phone # from the post office tomorrow. Thanks for all your help.

Isn't the number 1-800-USPS? Not hard to remember with that number.

That is kind of short. YOu need 3 more digits to make a phone number.

I have tried to get in also, but kept getting rejected - I wrote this number down awhile ago, so I am not sure if it is correct, but it's worth a try - Priority Supplies - 1 800 527 1814

I had a similar problem and emailed customer support at usps earlier today. Below is what was suggested in their reply. In my case, it turned out to be the 128 bit encryption that was my problem. (I went to the windows site and updated my internet explorer and was able to log onto the postal web site with no further problems.) Not sure if this will help you, but I thought I'd pass along the information, in any case.

1. Clearing your browser's cached memory and history.

2. Enable Cookies for your browser.

3. Ensure that your browser has the manufacturer's 128 bit encryption pack
installed.

4. If you are using Internet Explorer, please make sure you are using
version 4.0 or higher. If you are using Netscape, please make sure you are
using version 4.78 or higher.

5. When accessing the logon page, it is recommended that you do so from the
home page of USPS.com and not use a shortcut.

We hope this helps. If you are still experiencing the problem after trying
all of the above steps, please contact us again by email or at
1-800-344-7779.

Dazed gave you the phone number for priority suppy ordering. It's so easy to use, and they are friendly, too. I hated dinking around with the website when ordering supplies and was happy to keep this number handy.

Try 1-800-527-1950. I've always phoned my order. So nice to phone your order w/immediate results rather than stressing over the website. I see my last order was 8/13/02, so the number could have changed. I'll check it out in the morning. My supplies arrive fast...many times within the week. Never more than 10 days.

I've shipped approx 98% FedEx Ground since the 5/30/02 Priority rate hike and with my surplus USPS supplies, just haven't had the need to order lately.

I had the same problem. I was using Internet Explorer and after trying everything else I went in with Opera. No problem ordering using Opera. I have since updated to the newest version of Internet Explorer and I am now able to order with it.
