Pay with Paypal to a seller with 50 feedback and 98%+ positive (these sellers will have a special logo in their listings), eBay will cover you up to $500 with no deductible beginning September 28.
eBay believes this is a clear signal that they are serious about buyer protection, and willing to support sellers who have a good track record and buyers who pay intelligently. It will cover over half the items on the site.
