This maybe a repeat question but I had an Auction come off last night with a APO address.Has anyone had any trouble with a military address ? or Should I be happy to have a new line of bidders? Could just be timing or maybe a friend of the auction winner but I had another e-bayer ask if I ship to Military addresses this morning.Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !!

Having been on both the sending and receiving end of an FPO, I personally haven't had any trouble. It takes a little longer, and beware sending anything bookrate to an APO/FPO because it will take 3-4 weeks sometimes.
I'm sure someone will be along with a horror story shortly

Thanks Deana ! I did a search on yahoo and the site I found made it looks safe but I wanted someone to back it up for me lol They said the only down fall was you had to stand in line at the post office to fill out form ....I can handle that !

Have a customs slip made out in advance and you'll have to hand the package to a clerk. Even with an merican zip code you'll still need a customs slip ( green one for under 4 pounds and white one for over 4 pounds ).

I haven't had any problems... but I have had a few buyers tell me not to use the green customs form. They said they can only receive packages that have the white customs form (the one that is supposed to be for over 4lbs).You might want to ask your buyer if their area requires a specific customs form.

My Post People give me stacks of whatever forms I need, including customs, which is a nice time saver..fill them out at home and they're ready to go. I'm sure if you ask yours will do the same.

The post office won't let it go out without the proper custom form. They won't let a two pound package go out with a white form. I can't image any buyer saying that. I've sent dozens of APO mailings and have not had any problems and every one had the correct customs form.

NOTE: USPS will NOT allow DC on APO/FPO mail! Take this into consideration if you accept PayPal payments! They are essentially INTERNATIONAL payments & you (THE SELLER) are UNPROTECTED!!

I have a lot of bidders that have APO addresses. You can not do a DC but you can do a return receipt. This is what I do on all of my packages. When I get that green card back in the mail, it is my proof of delivery.
