I may have my first NPB. Auction closed on the 4th and no contact to date. No contact with sellers he won from on 6/29 either. New Ebayer (6/21) who bid on multiple auctions of the same type item. Question is this, I'd like to email him and give him the opportunity to void his winning bid but can't remember what you call that or how to do it. I do have an offer from my other bidder to pay the same amount at this bidder so even if I paid the fees, I wouldn't be really out anything. I know this person deserves a neg if he indeed is bidding without the intention of paying, but I'd rather not have to deal with the headaches and my first possible retaliatory neg. Not that it makes any difference, but this buyer is in Canada and I smell something rotten. Help!

You can file for FVC stating that it is canceled by mutual agreement but since this person is not bothering to contact why would you want to? Don't bother with the neg - just hit them with a mark with ebay for no contact ond no pay via a legit NPBA/FVC then sell to the other person.

Send a reminder from eBay. See if the reminder button is still there on your selling auction page. If it is send it, if not pull his contact information, he will then get an email stating that someone is looking for his address maybe then he will respond. If it was me I would wait a little longer. Watch his feedback and see if he pays someone....

I sent the payment reminder yesterday. I'm giving him until Friday to at least make contact. Then, I'll file the NPBA. I think I'll forgo the mutual agreement thing. If he at least makes contact with any one of the sellers, I'll consider it. I'll take the neg if I have to. I can give 'em, too!

When you file a mutual agreement, eBay sends an email to the buyer and they have to agree.

So that may or may not work...

File for your fees back,,,,well some of them. Do not neg them!!! It means NOTHING. It will only rile them to NEG YOU! filing for fees actually DOES something, Gets rid of the lice after three NPB's,,,,negs are meaningless and just open the door for YOU to be NEGGED back!!!

Did anyone WARN YOU they were a flake? This e bay is dog eat dog.....

Like Jack said.
I just did a bunch of them yesterday. Good ole ebay made me put in my password each and every time too even though I did them all within a 5 minute period. Tight fisted SOB ebay.

If she negs, it would help other sellers about this buyer, if negs mean nothing, then if you get one back, then that would mean nothing also...

You would be surprised at how many sellers may turn around and neg that buyer once the ice was broken... do not fear something that is undeserved.

I would file for fees back (NPB) asap. This person has multiple items that he bid on & did not pay for then. The longer you wait the sooner he may be naru'd. Then you cannot get your fees back. Sometimes the NPB notice wakes them up & they pay.

I'm not even waiting until Friday. The 6/29 seller has not heard from him yet, either. In fact, no one he's won an auction from has heard a word. It's 6 days which to me is long enough to at least acknowledge an email. Can I file an NPBA after 6 days or do I have to wait until 7? Jerk! I have a buyer who is patiently waiting, but I don't know if the other sellers are as lucky. Just what we need. People signing up just to pull stunts like this one. Hey, Ebay, how about setting a limit to the number of auctions a newbie can bid on until they have say, at least 5 positive feedbacks? This jerk has done this to 5 sellers. I don't know about the others, but it looks like he sniped all the bids. I will leave a neg right on the 30-day mark! That's if he isn't NARU by then. Ha!

Edited to add: I guess I have to wait until tomorrow to file the NPBA. This was a $46 sale. Not much to some, but a lot to me since my sales have been so erratic lately.

Oh, wonderful. I'm hoping he's NARU by then. Am I right in saying he can't get once NARU'd? Oh, well. Who cares. I will neg him just in case he doesn't get NARU'd. Want other sellers to be aware. I may rethink selling to Canada if this keeps up. He's the 2nd Canadian bidder I've had trouble with. Fortunately, the first one paid up but it took almost three weeks. I'm not waiting that long this time.

Boy, I hear you. At least you found the links to do the filing!!! Pat yourself on the back for that.

This is where a good auction service can save us a lot of time. Several have a feature for filing NPBs and FVF credits. I use AuctionSage and it takes literally seconds to complete the process. Maybe some of you can recommend others.

Ok, I'm getting ready to file my NPBA tonight. Can I go ahead and sell to the other bidder that wants the item as soon as I file the NPBA? I don't want to deal with this winning bidder at all and after 1 week of no communication from him/her at all, I don't feel I should have to deal with them. I think 1 week of waiting for a response is about as long as I want to wait. Why should I give this bidder more time when I know even if he does respond the whole thing will be an even bigger headache.

About 10% of my bidders wait a week to respond to my EOA emails.

About the selling to the next highest bidder after the final NPB on the highest bidder. I'm not sure if the Second Chance offer goes away or not. That would be the only ebay legal way to sell the item to another ebayer. You can offer it via the Second Chance offer anyway and simply refuse to sell to the high bidder for TOS violations if he does ever email you.
