I have been reading some of the Ebay boards and it seems jack is right about dog eat dog.
The clothing boards are complaining about alot of back-bitting among sellers and them doing different things to each other. I cant believe it!!

Other thing that interest me and maybe you all know better, since you've been around longer - do many ebayers buy to re-sell? And is that tacky?

Would it get you mad to see something you sold for 5.00 go off at 10.00? I have been trying to consider that in my mind. Mainly I feel if I get the price I want, I dont really care. But another part of me feels poached. What do you guys think?

Why do you care if someone sells something that you sold them? If they are getting a better price then maybe you should look at what they did differently and take a lesson from them. As far as I am considered once I sell something, it belongs to the buyer to do with it what they will. I think that ion most cases, sellrs resentment over such things is nothing more than thinly veiled jealousy.

I could care less if someone sells something on Ebay that I sold to them. More power to them if they are able to get a better price. I've bought things on Ebay only to have them turn out not to be what I expected so, I'll sell them again hoping I at least get my money back. A couple of times I was surprised to get way over what I paid. It's all in the presentation and timing doesn't hurt either.

Same with me. I could care less if someone bought from me and resold it. If is has ever happened I never know as I don't check. If I haven't done my homework and list an object that is worth then I get I deserve to lose on it. Well really not lose but not make as much as I should of. Isn't this the same as buying from a garage sale and reselling it? It's called resale...

Let em resell it. If you go to some of the WHOLESALE LOTS categories you will see that MANY ebay sellers get their stuff from those categories.

I love it when my buyers resell my stuff! Because I have gotten the price I need to get and if they can find a margin for resale good on them. They make good repeat buyers. Noh2 is right more accurate pics get better prices for your items. I often buy items that are poorly photographed and resell them for a good profit. Free enterprise! Gotta love it!

I think most of my sales are to people who imagine themselves as sellers. I've seen some of their auctions, and "imagine" is definitely the operative word.

My best friend (who I posted about here some months ago) continues to buy quite a lot, but I think she is selling the stuff at flea markets and antique shows. She must be getting decent prices there or she wouldn't keep buying from me. (My very-liberal payment terms might have something to do with it too.)

I don't mind if people resell my stuff; it's their stuff once it's paid for. I don't mind if they drape it all over their naked bodies and roll in the mud.

I am not a bathtub full of brightly-colored machine tools on Vendio.

I would object too! You mean you include pictures of your naked, bejewelled , mud encrusted body in your listings?
This I GOTTA SEE!

Fluffy....are you serious...you really show your naked muddy body in your listings. That doesn't sound quite right. Is this like teapot girl. Do you collect cat teapots?

Man, you all have been busy on here tonight! Gotta read all these new topics!

As far as reselling, I suppose I will have to get use to it - not that I even know if it has happened yet but I was wondering about it...

And yes, it is jealousy on some level because I know I have not yet acquired the skills to sell like someone who has been doing it for years. But I think I am doing pretty good for a newbie, so I am not really all that worried about it! (At least my auctions arent Downright AWFUL like some are. Part of the problem for me is getting too attached to the collectables because 'I found' them (like treasures) and that is where my luck lies. But I am getting better and still learning every day. (There's a #$#@# LOT to learn ) Youse' guys posts are very valuable in experience and helpful.
Thanks. Tessa
