My Kovel Dictionary is about 40 miles from here right now, and I'm hoping one of you could look this mark up for me please? ... white porcelain/pottery Czech set has a grayish-black mark on bottom which is a circle; inside the rim of the circle are the words, 'Made In Cechoslovakia' [note spelling], and center of circle has P.L. [with] & Co. [under the p.l.] ... I am hoping to approximate a year of manufacture of the set and what the P.L. might be an abbreviation for? ... ... thank you to all you busy beavers out there!!! ...

I looked in the Kovel marks book. There's not much on Czech pottery marks. All it says is the country came into being in 1918.
I have a piece of Czech pottery also and haven't had any luck dating it.

There is a Czechoslovakian Pottery book by Bowers, Closser, Ellis. It has about 38 pages of marks. Not sure if your's is shown. It would require some time to look it up.
