When I logged in to eBay just now, I saw that my feedback number had increased. I haven't won any auctions lately, so was curious about which seller it was. Much to my surprise, the feedback was for an auction I won on May 24th.....OF LAST YEAR!!!!!!! I clicked on the auction link, and it said invalid item. How in the world did this seller give me feedback????? Had anyone else had this happen? I feel like I'm in the eBay Twilight Zone!

In my best Rod Sterling voice ...A Normal Day In a Normal Life. You log on to ebay(music in the back ground)First you start by checking your sell page when you notice a new feedback has entered the e-bay zone !! Maybe The haunted Jar has been dropped and is leaking into the feedback program ...

I don't have the link Lurkyloo but about 3 months ago someone said they had a neg. show up from over a year ago. That they didn't even know they got....so your safe

The feedback shows that it was left yesterday.

Months ago someone e-mailed me and showed where it was posted on another board about a secret link that you could use to leave feedback for a transaction that was long past.

You want me to teach you how to be bad?

I looked and I don't have it on my computers but I know someone who will send it to me.

I don't think I kept it at the time because I thought it was kind of gutless to wait past the 90 days or even up to a year or so later to leave someone a neg.

OTOH, there is someone that left me a neutral without talking to me first and he was a loser from the start. That was back in January or so and now if I was in the right mood to do so, it would be kind of fun to hit him with a neg all these months later..... hmmmm..... he was a very rude buyer too and even now when I think of his first name my hackles go up.

Those secret links never remain secret for very long and are usually closed in short order. A few irate emails from ebayers getting way out of date feedbacks whom trigger an investigation that would find the link. Then again, ebay is sooo screwed up anything can happen. I bet there are ebay selling listing for free right now.

I now have knowledge that the secret link does in fact work. So that may explain how lurkyloo got feedback over a year later.

You can get any feedbacks left after 90 days removed simply by asking.

I was curious where you came up with this information that Ebay would remove feedback left after the 90 day period, simply by asking.

It seems to me, that would go against their nature.

I've left fb couple years after the eoa date. I love having these people emailing me asking who I am. Although, I haven't negged anyone, I left a bunch of positives.

Yes, I see, and ebay is a bit mean-spirited if you know what I mean.

You can list for free but since the spirit of this place is to retain ebay secrets, it goes to the grave with me. Sure, some will call it one-upmanship on the 'place an old feedback secret' but it's all I got, and like I just said, it goes to the grave with me.
