A clerk at our P.O. who sells on eBay told me I can print labels for 1st class and media mail WITH DC for 13 cents. Says she does it all the time; found it on the PO website under shipping assistant, had to search a long time to find it and now does it.
Am I missing something? I went to the PO website today and didn't even see Shipping Assistant. If you do what she says we can do, please give me a link.

Thanks, Tom. Hmmm. I use Netscape as my browser, not IE. Not sure if this will work for me. I'll check with my resident expert husband when he's got a minute.

Here's what the website says, Fluffy, and why I asked my question. Am I misreading it?

It sounds like the reason they indicate the browser level is for usability of the "download instructions" and not usability of the final product.
The browsers have changed over time and Web designers develop to a set level and often recommend having the latest levels at the time it was developed.

Many USPS web pages will not display correctly unless you are using IE.
I complained about this to the Webtools support folks and they said they don't support Netscape at all.
Personally, I use both Netscape and IE simultaneously as there are pages that will only display in one or the other. Yes, you can run two browsers at the same time.

Never mind, everyone. We successfully downloaded it last night--took about 15 minutes. My confusion came, I think, from the clumsy way the site worded their first instructions, "assuming" I use IE. I still use Netscape and the download was no problem at all; I have Windows XP so maybe that made a difference. I'll take whatever magic works when I need it!
