Anybody know who this Fitz and Floyd witch is?? I was thinking the kitchen witch, but cant find her looking like this. Then I searched around for the witch from snow white,...still cant find anything. Who the @#@@ is she?

(is it a votive candle holder? What else could she possibly be holding in that hole? change?)

My votes:
The first one a soap or brush dish or ash tray ( really scarey looking. The doll radio looks like it's from the late 60's. They both should be really collectable

I vote for the soap or bush dish or scrubbie dish. A kitchen witch? It's really cute! You should do well with both items.

The soap/gum dish looks a little like the comedian Danny Kaye. Are there any markings or info on the doll radio?

Thanks everybody!!

No, no markings Ace, just says "Made in Japan"

The witches hole seems kinda small for soap and rounded. Maybe an ashtray or gum parker,(that sounds real vintage at least

Thanks again all.~~

(Got so frustrated went and cleaned out my refrigerator!! but no dog biscuits in there..lol)

If the name of this is REALLY Witch Hazel, theb I know what it is used for!!!! It wouldnt be for a candle or ashtry or brush tray! In our grandparents time and also in other countries it is or was very common to have witch hazel next to the sink in a container. When you see a "blemish" or "Zit" you would dab a little on the infected area and it helps get rid of the bad spot.

In old Mexico, the women had a shell with lemon juice in it for the same purpose. My Mexican grandma in law told me this. She still lives there and doesnt speak any English.

See what happens when you come in here to read and post, it can change your bad day into a good day.

Cute Radio. It isn't in the transistor radio book because I have that. There must be a book around for unusual transistor radio's.

Fritz and Floyd doesn't have a web site. (I can hardly believe that). Look in your yellow pages and see if you can find a store that carries Fritz and Floyd and see if it is listed then call them. Good Luck. I hardly think it was for witch hazel as this piece looks pretty new. Probably votive candle.

Toasted, it doesnt look like their witch "Hazel" though. I've looked at her in several different figurines.

Libra, I know - I am surprize Fitz and Floyd doesnt have their own site. I spent alot of time looking around the net for Fitz and Floyd and made in Japan type sites before I took the plunge and asked you guys!
(Fitz and Floyd big in England, it seems)

BTW, if anybody cares, the witch has a big hole in her back (I dont know if that is to hang on a wall, or just part of the ceramic makeup of the thing! And its about the size of a regular stick candle.)

If somebody tells me what it really is, I will give them a prize! (One of the things I can't move on EBAY..(lol)

Really am so glad I found Vendio and all of you. ty
