S&H: Non-negotiable fee of $100.00 due in 7 days of auction close with BIDPAY or Paypal. Insurance included. If you have concerns over our ship fees then do not bid. Our profit comes from ship fees
Normally ebay won't touch a fee avoidance issue on s/h with a ten foot pole but they may on this one.

I absolutely can't believe this. The guy is dumb enough to cut off his escape route by stating in the auction that his profit comes from ship fees. I recall once that someone posted in this forum a question as to how to go about canceling his Ebay account. I would think that this would be about the quickest way to get it done. He wouldn't have to do anything except post the auction and let Ebay see it. They'll do all the work for you.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

I doubt that ebay would cancel this seller's account over this auction alone.
They would probably just pull the auction and refund his insertion fee. If the seller hadn't put the part about making all their profits on shiping fees they may have only warned him or left him alone entirely. He can always say he only uses Fed Ex Overnight and it's a lot of 10 purses.
Remember the grandfather clock seller that charged a huge amount for shipping and very little for the clock? Ebay pulled his auctions fast.

That auction should almost kill itself. I just tried to open it. There are way too many pictures in it. After 3 minutes, I clicked back. There is no way I would ever buy from this seller if all of there auctions are loaded down like this one. Fee avoidance? More like non-fee generator.
On the bottom of the page next to her ship fees she has calculated out her fees so the buyer can see what she pays per listing. She has 12 pictures in this auction for 3 books, starts them at a dollar (she probably won't get a bid, but that is besides the point) and she says her listing fee is 80 cents. I haven't listed through ebay for a long time, but was showing a neighbor how to list something of his through ebay and I thought they charged him at least 10 cents for each additional picture over 1. I have a feeling this is one of those sellers that is losing money every month.

Thanks for posting the auction. If you right click on the images you'll see it the properties section of the drop down box that the images are Andale hosted. The seller figured the fees based on a $5 final bid to get the FVF amount so it must be a 30 cent insertion fee and a 25 cent FVF ebay fee and a 30 cent Andale image hosting fee.
I'm a big supporter of adding a lot of pictures to an auction but in this case it is definitely not worth the expense and time for such common items. What a waste of image hosting fees.
Image hosting fees are the fees that any seller can easily reduce to save a lot of money if they list more than a few auctions per month. A few dollars per month gets any seller reliable image hosting that can hold thousands of images. ( ex: $6 per month for 100 megs at Boomspeed.com )
