I'm up to two ebay spoofs a day now. These emails are giving the penis enlargement emails a run for their money.

You get the penis enlargement emails, too? I don't think they ever bothered to check my gender. Maybe they think my significant other is in need of enhancement? Wouldn't he be surprised to find this out!

I got one that congratulated me on acheiveing an ORANGE star. I don't think there is an orange star. I suspect everything from Ebay now (and then I think I always did)

That's the ebay star spoof email. The penal enlargement emails show that the emails are just sent out to anyone that the email address generating software creates. The same thing happens a lot with the ebay spoofs. With 69 million ebay accounts out there the emails are bound to find an ebay on a fairly frequent basis.

I average 3 penis enlargement emails each day and the first name of my email address is a feminine one. On the other hand, a male friend who buys occasionally on ebay but never sells has not gotten one yet. Wonder really if there is a connection and seller addresses are harvested from e-bay. I do not take paypal in payment but use it when possible to buy which is extremely infrequent.

Has anyone besides me ever received a penis enhancement and a breast enhancement email in the same day?

Don't any of you have a spam filter? Mine catches 90% of the garbage and 99% of the spoof emails.
It only catches a real email about once or twice a year.
It really helps to block your own email address too.

Every single one of the spams & spoofs are single name email addresses like MarySue and they always get by the filters. It sure makes it easy to spot them though.

The best way to stop getting spam is to put a period in your email address name. ( [email protected] if your provider allow it )

always heads up on this type of crud! ... today we received these emails from ID-stealing hopefuls from both Paypal, and another from ebay [only of course the emails weren't really from them] ... and the emails open up to have all of the exact logo and template formats as the real ebay and the real paypal ... ... it's a scary world these days!!!!

... even if the paypal scammers were to try to get into my account ... they's find out that I ...

AOL shut down our service last Saturday with a message to call Customer Service...it turns out that my 17 yo daughter's id sent out 162 emails in a couple of seconds - someone got a hold of her password somehow..i looked at the mail "she" sent and they were the Viagra etc ads! Those all made it through filters!
