Does the crackle always go all the way to the top? I do have two small glass things, something like a vase and a bowl or cup. But they only have the crackle pattern on the bottom and the upper halves are smooth. They are amber color. How do I tell if the crackle was intentional, or if they are damaged?

I forget to do this many times but I hate to see a thread drop off this board with a 0 standing beside it..... unless it's a topic I start and then ramble about and then I just don't really care.
deltim, can you post a pic? I'm sure that maybe one of us can help you better then. No, I don't think the crackle goes all the way to the top on all of the pieces.
I don't have any crackle glass left that I can even check to be sure.

Heres a piece I've had forever and have no clue where I got it lol ...it's heavily crackled at the bottom and slowly works it ways up to just a few cracks at the top...it feels lumpy not broken if that makes any sense.Maybe this will help.I didn't answer yesterday cause I didn't know the answer

I think crackle glass has the even-uniform crackling [like yours in the photo] ... doesn't matter that it's not 'crackled' at the top ... yep my opinion too ... you got yourself some crackle glass there.

It looks like crackle but not the good old antique crackle glass. They import a lot of this stuff from Mexico.

Here's my crackle... but it's hard to see the crackle in the second piece. It's mainly around the bottom and lower portion.
