Yesterday I purchased this bowl. It is a golden honey color, 17" long 41/2" wide. Very heavy with controlled bubbles. I have spent a long time looking on eBay, and the closest I can come is Murano. Can anyone offer help please?

Unless it's signed, it's just considered Murano TYPE art glass. This sort of thing is still being made, and is fairly common. Pretty, but no collector value.
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Amber, you could also look under Chalet glass on eBay. Chalet glass was made in Canada and I used to have dozens of pieces.
I moved quite often and sold it because it's very heavy and sometimes breaks easily if it's not packaged or unpackaged with care.
But some of it is very beautiful.... some pieces are over 2 ft long.

Thanks so much for your help. I think you are right kiara, I looked at the other chalet glass on eBay, and it certainly looks very similar, some of them got very nice prices. The only thing I couldn't find was one with bubbles.
I need help with the description, I wouldn't call it amber, that suggests an orange tone to me, it's more honey colored, would that be an accurate description. Also, would I say bubble glass, or a bowl with bubbles? They are obviously meant to be there, they start very small in the base, and stretch out to tear shapes at the edges.

Gee, Chihoully (sp?) made me appreciate glass for the first time in my life. What a master he is.
I do have one idea for you. This piece looks like a butterfly, and I'd use that word in the title, with all the butterfly collectors there are out there (or used to be, anyway).
