I picked this bowl up at a garage sale the other day for $6.00. Can you identify the mark/pattern? The bowl is irridescent purple/gold and is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. It has a scalloped top and a really pretty diamond-pattern on the sides. There's a raised floral pattern on the inside. Thanks for any help/info...appreciate it, as usual!

pmelcher is right, it is an Imperial mark. That particular mark was used from 1951 to 1972 on reproductions of their older pieces and also on fantasy pieces. I tried to find that pattern in my Carnival Glass book, but could not come up with it.
There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Hey, Bigpeepa...Haven't decided yet...My mother saw it and would like to have it (I think), so don't know if it will go on eBay or not. If $6.00 is "its money", then will probably keep it. If it would bring a tidy profit, that would probably tip the scales toward eBay. Thanks for asking...I think that makes you smart!
