Love this post from justine-trousersnake:

". . . I am so sick of Americans on eBay, they seem to have absolutely no respect or common sense. "

Excuse me, but ebay is an American-born website! The dot UK etc are later incarnations of our dot com.

Good Lord, are all those chaps over there as dense as the London fog?

Yes a lot of us are whiny and quick to neg but believe me, that's not just a USA problem. I've had 2 overseas buyers make me wish I checked the "ship only to USA" box.

Interesting reading. What I want to know is why their auctions show on the USA eBay site. Don't they have to list them there themselves.
Here are some of the quotes and maybe someone needs to post this site so they can see what we say.

What's American got to do with it, really? You'll get your fair share of dumba$$es whenever you interact with the general public.

OK -what makes more sense for storage at the back of a car? A boot or a trunk?
****
If they send out their WBN's they would never run into the following.. Location is on the EOA notices for everyone to see. Since we don't deal in their kind of money why should we know what the price would be unless they tell us. Now who is dumb.....

I've sold about 20 items to the US and never had any real problems, However today was my first "Roll eyes moment" I'd sent out the invoice with S&H to america at a paltry total of £7.77, Got an email this morning telling me that they'll pay by Paypal on the 16th with $7.77, Polite reply back, No you won't :-

Libra - Many Americans browse the foreign sites. I do it every so often. There are some items there are very ollectible here that are readily available in europe.

If it's really Common Sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Isn't it that if any seller selects certain countries beyond their own that the auction will b listed in those regional ebays as well? And if any sellers selects 'will ship worldwide' then all regional ebays will see that auction?

Thanks for clearing things up. I do not search any foreign boards and when I search eBay USA I get many UK auctions. Maybe they should just stay in their own territory and then they won't complain. Question? If I select, Will sell to a foreign country (international), than will my auctions show up on their board? I guess I will just have to check that out....I just listed about 10 items that I will ship internationally and if they are there, that's good....More exposure.

Many of the posters have zero or low FB & are going on about their "experiences" with American buyers. Then the attacks escalate from individuals to all the "stupid" Americans.

I guess if you have to make up stuff to be part of the crowd.....get a life.
