List fax machines instead. The last major outage here on the west coast in 96 was on a weekend. Most businesses never turn off their fax machines. When the power came back on, there were a couple dips and surges that destroyed the power supplies in many fax machines. My son worked at Office Depot at the time. By 10:00 am Monday they had sold every machine in the store.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
