I've been trying out various html changes in my auction descriptions. Everything I've tried (bold, font color, etc.) has shown up in my preview page except for the font size command. I'm using <fontsize=+2> etc. at the very beginning of the text and then putting </fontsize> at the end of the several paragraphs of text. What am I doing wrong? or doesn't font size show up on the preview page, but just in the actual auction when launched??

put in <font size=2> or what ever number you want and this should work. +2 is only used for their about me page I think.

Just like the bidders I didn't read the whole thing. At the end all you need is </font>

I use the <font size=+2> & </font> combination but the + part may not be unnecessary.

Libra--thanks! And it should show up on my preview page, right? I've done just what you've said to do, added <font size=6> at beginning of first paragraph, put </font> at end, and the letters are still small. Yikes.

I've tried a space between font and size, and no space between the two words, and that doesn't make a difference, either.

I'm going to surf a couple of html primer sites and see if I can get a clue.

(Later)
I've looked at different html tutorial sites and they're all saying different things!

Ebay tutorial says to use <big> (no numbers!)

Pongo says use <FONT SIZE="+2">

I'm off to try these. Surely there's an expert who can tell us what's happening.

<font size=+2> <font color=blue>
</font size=+2> </font color=blue>
Been using this for months works fine
I also add <font color=red> </font color=red> for one or two words occasionally

I use <h1> <font color=blue>
</h1></font> or <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5>

Dacreson: I've been using exactly what you use to increase size (in fact, you may have been the one who told me originally!).

All the other html I'm using in my descriptions is working fine--color, bold, etc. Just not the font size bit. It's making me nuts. Is it possible that the size bit just doesn't show up in the Vendio page preview???? Could somebody check if not too busy?

I use <font size=+1> </font> and it will show up in the vendio preview.

Hi
I type my description in word so I can cut and paste much of it, then I move it to AW description, then cut top row and paste into AW header row, add pictures etc then click on ebay preview. THAT will show all your font color changes etc as will be seen if you sent it to ebay.

If there is an error in font work the font typing probably will show in the ebay preview. Also if ebay is using font size +1 then nothing will change and your font typing will not show either.

How I learned was just "Try it" and hit ebay preview and see the results.

It really is a lot of fun and their is a whole lot more you can do.

With my method of typing into word first once you got it, their is no more reinventing the wheel.

I had to do something like this as no lot of mine is ever quite the same.

Have fun.... David

I have the HTML 4 for Dummies and I can't figure it out for the life of me. I have never done any of those things. it says. xx-small, x-small, small, medium, large, x-large, xx-large, smaller, larger.

i.e.(font-size:large)

How did it work out? Keep us posted...

Try using <font size=+2> instead of <fontsize=+2>. You have to have the space between font and size.
